St. Patrick's Day 2013

What a great day! Parker's first BIG Parade. I say "BIG" because he went to the Fourth of July Parade when he was 13 days old, so that doesn't really count. We started our day off with the Stalls Second Annual St. Patty's Day Breakfast. Kept it pretty low key this year. Few family members and friends. Some eggs, sausage, fruit, bagels and quiche. Oh and how could I forget....COFFEE...with some delicious Irish Cream creamer! Yumm-O. Then around 11:30 we bundled up and headed a few blocks to the parade. Got there just as it was making it's way down the street. Parker fell asleep on the walk there; way past nap time. He was very confused when he woke up. Check out the pictures below. They do a better job at telling the story of the day!

8 months old

{February 21st, 2013}
...a week late... :(

Oh little man, where is the time going. Every month that you are a little older, I say that it is my favorite month. But really, Month # 8. This is it! You are soooo much fun to be around. There is always something you are interested in doing. Whether it is playing with your toys in your little corner of the living room, crawling into the kitchen to see what appliance is beeping, or exploring the neighborhood with momma on a walk, you are just so interested to see what this big world has to offer.

Last week we ventured out of the house (a rare occurrence lately with these freezing temps!) and attended some of the Winterfest Activities put on by our town. You LOVED the Radio Disney Children's Fair. Like...loved it. There were tons of children that you loved looking at. You even stood against one of the bouncy toys and tried to climb in it. Once your friends Emmett and Hayley joined us, you all went into the bounce house. Not much bouncing was had, except maybe a little fear and falling over inside it! We also went to the Teddy Bear Story Time and Parker was a little unsure but enjoyed checking out all of the little kids there. Momma was just so happy to get out of the house!

Parker, you continue to be the happiest, most inquisitive baby boy. You always need to know where mom and dad are and what we are doing. Although you like playing with your toys, you love to be the center of attention and know that we are always paying attention to you.

This month you haven't been the best eater, which I think has alot to do with your teething. We seem to be struggling at meal time. Sometimes it takes a good 30+ minutes to get through a bowl of baby food. On the other hand, you continue to be a great nurser. You love your puffs and will snack on them at any time of day.

Lately wherever we go out in public, we get so many compliments that you are the happiest, most sweetest baby boy. Melt my heart. You smile at everyone you meet, and can make a stranger's day at the drop of a hat. You are just the most easygoing little boy who loves everything that life has to offer.

We cannot wait to see what the next month brings. The new things you will learn. The new places you will explore. You are so loved by everyone you meet! The sparkle in your eye tells a story when you smile and giggle. Mommy and Daddy love you so much little guy!
